Mad as a hatter

On advice I have purchased a hat, a straw stetson. The advice warned that with the summer coming up, the large shades I wear over my ordinary glasses might be better complimented with a hat, such as a baseball cap. The last time I regularly wore a hat was for two years (1999-2001), a baseball cap with the words in Chinese and English "China, Beijing".

I have a similar baseball cap with "Damon" on it in the lovely Germanic Gothic lettering (if that's what the font is called), but I now have a new hat.

Here it is: a picture of me wearing my new hat, this morning. Rather dashing, what!

Addendum (later, same day): Ive also found it's quite useful for protecting me on my blind side against low hanging branches, etc., which are always a hazard for me.

There's nothing that can't be solved with a big hat.
